P.E.O. is a Philanthropic Educational Organization.
Our educational projects help women reach for the stars.

There are over 3500 P.E.O.s in the state of Montana. They are part of a women's organization with almost a quarter million members in chapters in the United States and Canada. This Philanthropic Educational Organization has given over $140 million in education loans, $42 million in Program for Continuing Education grants to women who have had their education interrupted, $29 million to international students, and $16 million in scholar awards to those women who are pursuing the highest level of education in the United States and Canada. The newest scholarship program for young women entering post-secondary education, has awarded over $2 million. Through this financial help we have provided educational opportunities for over 90,000 women since 1907 when our Educational Loan Fund was established.

Prospective Applicants:

All of the loans, scholarships and grants, except the International Peace Scholarship, take sponsorship from a local P.E.O. chapter. Check out our project requirements and see if you qualify for one. Once you pick the project you think you are best qualified for, you may talk to any P.E.O. you know or you may email Punki Bullis, who is our vice president, to request the name of a P.E.O. in your community who knows about the project you have chosen.
