Montana State Philanthropic Educational Organization [P.E.O.]

P.E.O. – Where women motivate, educate and celebrate women.

There are 3,000+ members of P.E.O. in Montana, most communities have a local chapter. The local chapters are part of state and international women’s organization in the United States and Canada. This Philanthropic Educational Organization has financially assisted over 125,000 women pursuing educational opportunities since 1907. We are a Sisterhood of women who are purposeful and passionate about celebrating, supporting, and motivating women. Our mission is to help women around the world advance through education. We do this by offering scholarships, grants, awards, and loans to help women enhance their lives through learning.

If you are interested in learning more about membership in P.E.O., contact the Montana State Chapter Vice President using the form found here. She will put you in contact with a P.E.O. chapter in your community. P.E.O. membership begins at the local chapter. Women can become members after being introduced to and invited by current members of a local chapter. Theses local chapters are the heart of P.E.O. and being connected with a chapter is important for members to experience all the bonds of sisterhood and contribute to the vitality of the chapter through local fundraisers that support our philanthropies.

Prospective Membership Eligibility: P.E.O. is a Sisterhood that welcomes all women 18 years and older who acknowledge a belief in God. We do not discriminate against any woman based on race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, national origin, sexual orientation, age, or abilities.
