Philanthropic Educational Organization [P.E.O.]

P.E.O.—Where women motivate, educate and celebrate women.

We provide scholarships internationally, and we also provide Montana-specific scholarships for Montana women.

This Philanthropic Educational Organization has financially assisted over 125,000 women pursuing educational opportunities since 1907. We are a Sisterhood of women who are purposeful and passionate about celebrating, supporting and motivating women. Our mission is to help women around the world advance through education. We do this by offering scholarships, grants, awards and loans to help women enhance their lives through learning.

As a philanthropic organization, P.E.O. supports six philanthropies. These are often referred to as the P.E.O. “projects.” Throughout P.E.O. these terms are used interchangeably. P.E.O.’s projects, or philanthropies, support scholarships, grants and loans and the stewardship of Cottey College. All are designed to assist women in furthering their education. Local P.E.O. chapter fundraisers are the primary means of supporting these philanthropies. P.E.O. Montana supports four projects specifically for Montana women. Most of the “projects” require a chapter recommendation as part of the application process. If you are interested in learning more about a project, contact the Montana State Chapter Vice President using the form found here. She will put you in contact with a P.E.O. chapter in your community.
